The University of Adelaide Alumni Scholarship for International Students, Australia 2024

This scholarship is awarded to applicants that have successfully completed an award program at the University of Adelaide who are applying for their second, third or even fourth program with the University of Adelaide. The scholarship will be awarded if the previous study from the University is the basis of admission and meets the scholarship’s minimum academic requirements.

This scholarship is available to:

  • International Students commencing with the University of Adelaide in their coursework award program in 2024;
  • International Students that are Alumni of the University of Adelaide and have successfully completed and been awarded a degree from the University;
  • Direct entry undergraduate and postgraduate award program applicants, including those who are required to undertake a Pre-Enrolment English Program (PEP) prior to their degree commencement;
  • Applicants that meet the minimum score;
  • Open to citizens of any country (except Australia and New Zealand) that are enrolling as International Students;
  • Available for study in any discipline (some exceptions apply).

 

Aim and Benefits

The scholarship offers a reduction of 10% of the tuition fee for the duration of the chosen undergraduate or postgraduate award program.

 

Requirements 

1. UoA will offer candidates a Scholarship to study an undergraduate or postgraduate award program at UoA (excluding the Excluded Programs) (“Program”) if all of the following requirements are satisfied:

  • The candidate has received an Offer of Admission to the Program from UoA;
  • The candidate has successfully completed an award program at UoA and achieved a minimum overall Grade Point Average (GPA) of 4.0 on a 7.0 scale in that program; and
  • The candidate is not an Australian Citizen, a New Zealand Citizen or a holder of an Australia Permanent Residency Visa.

2. Eligibility for the Scholarship is assessed automatically at the time of application.

  • Candidates will be notified of the offer of Scholarship in the Offer of Admission to the Program.
  • Candidates must accept the offer of Scholarship and admission prior to the lapse date specified in the Offer of Admission.

3. It is a condition of the Scholarship that the recipient must maintain during the Program:

  • Unless otherwise expressly provided in these terms and conditions, a full-time study load for each study period;
  • A minimum overall Grade Point Average (GPA) of 4.0 on a 7.0 scale (“Minimum GPA"); and
  • Enrolment status as an international student*.

4. The Scholarship will be suspended for any study period in which the recipient’s GPA falls below the Minimum GPA. UoA may at its discretion reinstate the Scholarship if the recipient raises their GPA to the Minimum GPA.

5. The following persons are not eligible for the Scholarship:

  •  A person who is already receiving an alternative scholarship from UoA. UoA will award the highest value scholarship the candidate is eligible for at the time of application;
  • A person who is receiving a scholarship or sponsorship awarded by a scholarship or sponsoring body recognised by UoA such as a Government ministry or department, where the value of the award is greater than 50% of the tuition fees for the Program; and
  • A person who has received a packaged offer from University of Adelaide College or Eynesbury College (packaged) with a UoA program.

Eligibility for the scholarship is assessed automatically at the time of application. Applicants will be notified of their eligibility for the scholarship within the Offer of Admission. No separate application form is required.

This scholarship is based on academic merit and eligibility is determined by the merit achieved in the qualification which constitutes the basis of admission to the University. The academic component for admission to the University of Adelaide must be complete for the scholarship to be confirmed.

There are no specific closing dates for this scholarship, but applicants are encouraged to finalise their admissions process as early as possible to allow enough time to apply for a visa and prepare for their studies.
