2024 United Nations UPEACE Centre Diploma Scholarship at University for Peace

University for Peace are offering two FULL scholarships for one of our online diplomas in Social Innovation or Global Leadership.

Thanks to generous donors and our own internal funding, beyond the 3 full diploma scholarships, one of which is sponsored by The Rotary Club of Plymouth Massachusetts, we will also be offering 5 full scholarships to single courses within the UPEACE Centre program, and 35 partial scholarships.

At the UPEACE Centre for Executive Education, we believe that there is a strong need for more changemakers around the world, and we believe that everyone has the potential to make a difference. We empower worldwide citizens to use their passions and strengths to be agents of change, to help them realize their own potential, and develop the skills, mindsets, and networks to make a positive impact on the interconnected world.

Join a cutting-edge program aimed at building your skills as a changemaker so that you can take your passion out into the world and expand your impact in your community.

Our diplomas take up to 18 months to complete and require one compulsory course and four electives. The Diploma in Social Innovation requires the completion of Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Social Change and the Global Leadership Diploma requires the completion of either Positive Leadership or Regenerative Leadership.

  1. FLEXIBLE FORMATS: Our diplomas are flexibly designed for working professionals. There are synchronous and asynchronous options, with courses in a wide range of areas key to personal growth and creating positive impact.
  2. DIPLOMA DETAILS: Beginning in July, 2024, you'll have up to 18 months to complete one compulsory course and four electives. You'll also be paired with a personalized coach to help push your journey forward!

  3. DIVERSE PARTICIPANTS: We are proud to host an incredibly diverse group of participants in our diploma programs from all over the world, giving you access to a unique international network of like-minded individuals.
  4. CERTIFICATE: Upon completion, you will receive a coveted professional development certificate from the UPEACE Centre for Executive Education, based at the University for Peace, a United Nations-established institution.


  1. CHANGEMAKERS: We welcome worldwide changemakers from all backgrounds, countries, ages, genders, and stages in their career paths, including recent graduates.
  2. ACTIVE SERVICE: We wish to support applicants who demonstrate an interest and/or experience in social impact work.
  3. ENGLISH SPEAKERS: Please be aware that all courses within our diplomas will be conducted in English. Applicants should have a confident B2 level or above (strong intermediate).
  4. INTERNET ACCESS: Our diploma programs can be taken fully remotely through online or live virtual courses. Please make sure that you have a stable internet connection.

If you are already part of our diploma program, this scholarship could be applied to your second Diploma. However, already enrolled students are not eligible for scholarships on their current programs.

  2. Who you are: where you are from, what makes you and your work unique
  3. Why you think one of our diplomas would help further your work
  4. Which diploma program and/or specific courses you are interested in and why.

* If you have an affiliation with Rotary International, please mention how you are, or have been, affiliated. The Rotary Club of Plymouth, Massachusetts will take this into consideration in choosing a winner for one the full scholarships.
